Labor Day Tailgate
Over 100 members enjoyed the annual Labor Day
Tailgate. We say goodbye to summer with this
event, but what a way to go! Our FC families and
friends enjoyed one of the most popular events of
the season. Many thanks to Meralee Kratovil and
Sandy Miller for all the hard work they put into
making this such a successful event. Thanks go out
to Chris Nicholson for signing us in and to Jim
Girotti and staff for working hard serving up our
wonderful treats and setting up to help make this a
memorable event. If you stood back and looked at
the adults and children enjoying the day, it would
be a picture that would keep you warm all year
long.

Night Under the Stars
What a perfect night for everyone to
enjoy at The Field Club on Friday,
August 27. Hearty Field Club families enjoyed a
bonfire and a good night sleep under the stars. A
delicious breakfast was provided by Eileen at the
Snuggery. Thank you Mary Cieplik and Ruth
Griffiths for organizing this event.

Party in the USA!
Over 40 people enjoyed GREAT
food, dancing and fun at the Poolside
Potluck on July 31. The pool deck
was transformed into an elegant
setting with lights, flowers and much
more. Many thanks to Jim and the
lifeguard staff for helping set-up and
stay LATE.

Summer Shines On…
The Family Camp Out (Friday,
August 27) and the Labor Day
Tailgate (Sunday, September 5) will
keep summertime alive at The Field
Club. These are two of our cherished
and fun events. Look for e-mails and
further information at the pool and
tennis hut bulletin boards this
August. If you have any questions or
would like to help the chairpersons of
either event, please contact Sally

Field Club Social Events 2010
The Davis Cup Dinner tennis kick-off event will
be held Saturday evening, June 26. All members
are welcome; you do not have to participate in the
Davis Cup to attend the evening event. Once
again, it will be located poolside, with dinner and
music provided. Come and join us for a
wonderful Field Club tradition, and be sure to
mark your calendars for this summer’s many other
fun events, including:

Fun for All at Spring Fling
The Annual Field Club Spring Fling was held on
April 9th at the Longmeadow Country Club.
Several members had asked to have the Spring
Fling earlier in the spring this year, since May can
be a busy time. A little over 100 guests came and
enjoyed a wonderful evening of excellent food,
music, dancing, catching up with old friends and
meeting new ones. Thank you to everyone who
helped make the evening a success! Looking
forward to a wonderful summer! Be sure to
check out the social events this summer!
